Real-time interactive Live Surgery
The DSI DentaScience Institute® provides comprehensive continuing education curricula at a sophisticated level both scientifically-based as well as directly transferable into daily clinical practice. Every continuing education event starts with a real-time live surgery (2+ hours), where special techniques as well as potential complications / intrasurgical modifications are shown. Furthermore, all live surgeries will be moderated by the teaching faculty simultaneously. In addition, course participants can communicate with the surgeon at the same time.
Theoretical Background
Consequently, the scientific as well as clinical background of such techniques are carefully evaluated, with a clear focus on relevant step-by-step clinical procedures.
Hands-On
Each course participants has the opportunity to practice the newly shown surgical techniques in a modular fashion and under the careful supervision of the international teaching faculty working, e. g. on rubber dam models, acrylic models with soft tissue coverage and ‘Real 3-D Calculus‘, eggs, pork mandibles, sheep skulls etc.
Hand-Outs
All Live Surgeries as well as Live Demonstrations will be taped and voice recorded (original sound track) by international audio-visual professionals. Shortly after the completion of each DSI® Course, each participant will receive these individually mastered videos including a summary of the theoretical background in a CD-Rom (Compact Disc), DVD (Digital Versatile Disc) or Blu-ray Disc™ format.
Presentation Technology
All Real-time Live Surgeries, Hands-On-Demonstrations as well as Microscopic Surgical Procedures will be projected via Full-HD (High Definition) video technology and a high-resolution beamer.
Limited Number of Participants
By intention, the number of participants is limited to 21 individuals for each DSI® Course to allow for an intense interaction between course participant and teaching faculty, thus providing a steep learning curve on an individual level.
High-Tech Equipment
High-Tech instruments, training models as well as magnifying glasses and operating microscopes are provided for each course participant.
